[Vision Photos Logo]In the summer of 1991 I snapped a photo of a lightning strike at a beach north of Hatteras, N.C. I aimed a little Kodak 35mm point & shoot out the window of the family wagon during a thunderstorm, and managed to capture a single bolt of cloud-to-ground electricity on film.

I was so excited to see the results when I got the film developed, and I just knew I had some Pulitzer Prize material there. Sure enough, that shot, and another of a roadside wildflower won me the $2 first prize at the Culpeper-Madison-Rappahanock Counties Farm Show. Yep, two dollars.

Using a lot more than two dollars the following year, I bought my first SLR. And I started shooting for my high school's yearbook. All these years later, I'm still excited to create images and explore new technology.

This site is just a sample of some of my favorite work. If you want to see some more, you really should check out my profiles below. You can hit me up all over the web... from Facebook to Virb.
